This bilateral agreement with the Russian Federation is the first of its kind, and one of the few signed with the Russian Federation after Croatia gained independence. It will allow for exchange of students, professors, scientists and experts and implementation of joint scientific and research projects. Furthermore, it will encourage direct contacts between Croatian and Russian educational, scientific, and technical institutions. In addition, Croatia and Russia will encourage cooperation on the FP7 Programme, through which Croatian and Russian scientists may apply for projects within EU programmes.
