The ERDF-funded project aims to improve the polytechnic’s networking and collaboration opportunities with other research institutions as well as its own research and innovation infrastructure and level of education. In particular, this applies to the fields of ecological biochemistry, sustainable construction, applied automation and extended reality.

The project will oversee an organisational reform of the polytechnic in an effort to enhance the functioning of the facility, both through informal and formal processes to raise the efficacy and quality of its work. ERDF funding will also finance the reconstruction and refurbishment of a building to house a new Centre for Sustainable Development.

The project consortium and Međimurje County Prefect have expressed the hope that these developments will also help to improve the county’s socio-economic image.
