Current Research Information Systems
A Current Research Information System (CRIS) is a database or other information system storing data on current research by organizations and people, usually through some kind of project activity, financed by a funding programme.
euroCRIS has been established in Europe to be the internationally recognised point of reference for all matters relating to CRIS.euroCRIS manages biannual membership meetings, an annual strategic seminar and biennial conferences. It advises the EC and national governments on matters relating to research information. It cooperates with strategic partners including the ALLEA, APA, CASRAI, COAR, CODATA, EARMA, ERCIM, EUNIS, ESF, JISC, ORCID, VIVO. EuroCRIS is charged with managing the development of CERIF (Common European Research Information Format) an EU recommendation to member states (as well as Danube Region countries).
