Danube-INCO.NET — Advancing Research and Innovation in the Danube Region

Open Innovation World Café - Climate Innovation and Bioeconomy (Made in Danube Event)

Climate change is a hot issue all around the world. Urban communities are major actors, as cities consume 75 per cent of the world’s natural resources, produce half the planet’s waste and generate 60-80 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Bioeconomy has strong potentials to support climate innovation and to offer solutions for the problems of cities. Discussion between urban communities, researchers and bioeconomy actors is crucial to understand each other and to find action points together.
