XIV PA7 Steering Group Meeting
The Priority Area 7 "Knowledge Society" meets in June for its 14th Steering group meeting in Bratislava.
The Priority Area coordinators, DG Regio and DG JRC welcome the members of the Steering Group to Bratislava to discuss the current and future activities. Information will be shared about passed events and upcoming activities, one of the topics will be the national and international cooperation in the macro-region related to citizen oriented science activities. The revision of the Action Plan will be another topic.
Key flagship projects of the EUSDR Priority Area (DREAM, Danube:Future, DO-IT) report their progress and new projects are being discussed. The Danube Rectors conference (DRC) gives an update on higher education as well as DG JRC on the implementation of smart specialisation strategies and the Danube Funding Coordination Network (DFCN) which introduces upcoming initiatives of the Austrian EU council presidency, of COST and in relation to the Danube Region Multilateral Call.
Other key activities include improvements in relation to research infrastructures and on ICT. The Danube Transnational Programme and its capitalisation strategies and thematic poles are another point on the agenda for coordination in the priority area. Participants will also be informed about activities of other priority areas (PA4), the ESOF event 2020 in Trieste, ENRICH centres as cooperation possibilities all around the world as well as the Strategic Forum on International Cooperation.
