This Danube-INCO.NET deliverable was elaborated within the WP6 "Scaling Up Danube Funding Mechanisms" and concerns the supports to the establishment of a Danube Funding Coordination Network (DFCN).

The Report outlines the preparatory steps and the implentation of a DFCN and describes its objectives, tasks and functioning.
The establishment of a DFCN derives from the results of a fesibility study showing that the installment of a Danube Region Research and Innovation Fund was not realistic while a flexible network structure coordinating funding mechanisms would be advisable in the Region. The DFCN was established during a Workshop jointly organised by Danube-INCO.NET and stakeholders from the Priority Area 7 (PA7) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) on May 30 and 31, 2016 in Berlin, Germany. Mission, objectives and functioning of the DFCN were discussed in depth and Terms of Reference were agreed upon.
