D8.48 CONCLUSIVE SUMMARY: Mapping of the WBC Innovation Infrastructures
The Conclusive Summary report summarises the seven reports on mapping of the innovation infrastructures that have been prepared in summer 2011 covering several important aspects of the National Innovation Systems (NIS) and presenting the status quo of innovation institutions and programmes in the Western Balkan Countries (WBC). This report provides a brief overview on the status quo of the innovation infrastructure landscape in the WBC countries as well as highlights the most noteworthy innovation infrastructures in the field (technology and science parks, business clusters, technology innovation centres as well as start-up centres and business incubators). Since similar reports were prepared during the FP6 project SEE- SCIENCE.EU in 2007, a comparison over time has now also been made. In addition, the legal framework on innovation policy in the WBC countries is being presented as well.
