Austria - Montenegro Scientific and Technological Cooperation (WTZ) - 2019 call

The programme supports researchers‘ mobility in the frame of joint research projects to stimulate international research cooperation and provides an opportunity for researchers to cooperate in an international setting and to develop their scientific careers, especially for early-stage, mid-career and female researchers. The Call is open to all scientific disciplines and thematic areas, including social sciences as well as humanities. The projects will be supported for a period of max. two years from January 2019 until December 2020.

The programme for Scientific and Technological Cooperation is carried out in the frame of the bilateral “ Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Austria and the Government of Montenegro” on Scientific and Technological Co-operation of 10 June 2009 and financed equally by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and by the Ministry of Science.

Who may apply?

Austria: Researchers working at Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences and other legal entities (e.g. higher education and research institutions, companies) planning to carry out a non-profit oriented research project. More information in the call text.

Montenegro: The researchers from Montenegro, participating in this Programme, should be Scientific researchers who are registered in the Register of the Ministry of Science of Montenegro can apply for this call. Criteria which have to be fulfilled for application in this Programme is that the project be in accordance with the Law on Scientific Research Activity as well as the established criteria of the Ministry of Science of Montenegro.

Proposals need to be submitted in both countries, for additional criteria please refer to the respective guidelines (see website / link).
